Santa Fe Outdoor Wedding
Our couples are loving the daytime sunshine and big puffy “spirit clouds” overhead . Most couples still having traditional late afternoon ceremonies. You just can’t beat New Mexico’s sunny forecasts for outdoor weddings!
Same thing every year, don’t know why it always takes me by surprise. Mid-summer heat just sizzles all day and then a blessed breeze just brushes by, surprisingly cool and refreshing. And then another, and for those of us who know the mountain it is unmistakable. From one moment to the next it is done, in one moment a change of season.
This year that moment came on Tues, August 11th.
Time to get a big bag of fresh roasted New Mexico chili! Good riding weather coming, get the horses shod. Beautiful weather ahead for the next 10 weeks!
Smaller weddings mean fewer guests. When you get back home everyone will want to see the pictures.
Planning a Santa Fe Elopement? Great idea but don’t forget the photographer. Every picture will be precious to you and to everyone back home!

Glenda called in early July, we worked out her details and that was it. They flew out from Chicago. Photographer Corinna See of Albuquerque captured their sweet wedding for two, with two friends as witnesses. Glenda’s delighted sister and mom contacted us to arrange for additional flowers and chocolate covered strawberries…sweet thoughts!
Perfect sky this week for watching the August meteor showers. We saw too many to count on Wednesday night, right along with a spectacular lightening show from a storm about 100 miles away. This is what you all come to us for for. Our native magic. Absolutely peaceful nights, millions of stars.
See you soon, on the mountain.
So, what do you think ?
