Not that we have not heard of anyone sneaking out a bedroom window into the arms of their beloved but we have had quite a few couples so excited by their Santa Fe vacation that they just run off to the County Courthouse for the license and then call us for a “wedding today!”

Spring in Santa Fe is the traditional start to the Santa Fe wedding season and that includes the more ambitious destination weddings. While we love the big family events we are sure getting a warm and fuzzy feeling from our “simply, truly weddings”.

This week was very special. Big news from Taylor and Mike (summer 2009) that little Calvin arrived on Jan 2.  Thank you both for sending the picture, what a lot of blonde hair!! We are all glad that all is well with the new family and looking forward to our next visit.

My Santa Fe Wedding suggestions:

You are hiring a person, not just a Wedding professional, a photographer. Be sure  you can speak to and be understood by the photographer. You want candid shots? You want lots of portraits? Documentary style? Black and White? Did the photographer hear you or where they selling you on their style?

Get references from the Wedding venue and from previous clients. These are the people who know how this person is to work with before, during and after the wedding.

Be sure to get everything in writing. Wedding photography can be one of the most expensive items in your overall wedding budget. Santa Fe Wedding photographers are pretty good at letting you know up front what the costs will be. Don’t be shy, ask!
